Staying in the one of the new cabins is a special treat. The spacious cabins include fire pits, a full kitchen, living area with television, sleeping for six, and a classic Southern screened porch with rocking chairs that overlook the lake. Waking up to the picturesque sunrise energizes the day, and winding down in the evening couldn’t be more relaxing. The night comes to life with friends around the fire and a wild chorus of frogs that soothes the soul.

Laura S. Walker State Park offers a championship golf course around three beautiful lakes, as well as fishing and swimming. Nature trails wind through the longleaf pine, and flatwater kayak rentals allow visitors to paddle the serene lake. The park’s beach cruiser bikes make a great option for getting around the park and taking easy rides along the unpaved trails.

Laura S. Walker State Park is also a great “base camp” for exploring southeast Georgia with easy access to the Okefenokee, historic Waycross and the Golden Isles.
