Try Tallulah Gorge State Park, Amicalola, Cloudland Canyon, Fort Mountain or Black Rock Mountain. There is something magical about fallen red and gold leaves on the rocks of a tumbling waterfall. Wondering where to take the family this autumn? Try Cloudland Canyon State Park, Raven Cliff Falls, Fall Branch Falls or Dukes Creek Falls for wonderful views. More waterfall info here.

Fall is made for camping under the bright stars, and Georgia's state park system allows you to enjoy comfort, consistency and hospitality across the state. Many other campgrounds and attractions offer inviting settings for sleeping under the stars, like Timberline Glamping at Lake Lanier and Clarks Hill Lake, and Andrews Cove in Helen. Find more fall camping info here.

Slow your pace and travel Georgia's backroads to fully immerse yourself in the colors and character of the season. Follow the Richard B. Russell Scenic Highway from Helen through the mountains, or travel the Cohutta-Chattahoochee Scenic Byway from Cohutta to Ellijay. In west Georgia, follow the Meriwether-Pike Scenic Byway, and pull off the road in Woodbury for a photo op at the Red Oak Creek Covered Bridge. Find more road trips in Georgia.
