If you're ready for an early spring, you'll want to get your calendar in order for the middle of March because that's when Georgia's cherry blossoms are historically in their prime. Here's where to find them.

1. International Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon

For two weeks each spring, Macon fills with the spirit of the annual International Cherry Blossom Festival. You won't be able to turn a corner without seeing something pink. From a parade to the blossoming trees, there's something for everyone. This year's festival runs March 15-24, 2024. Admission to most events and the parade is free.

2. Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival in Brookhaven

Bring the family to the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival for two days of music, an artist market, kids' zone, classic car show, local food and drinks, and fun for everyone, including pets, at this festival in Metro Atlanta. There's even a 5K that's a qualifier for the AJC Peachtree Road Race, a July 4th tradition in Atlanta. Admission to the March 23-24, 2024, festival is free!

3. Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival in Conyers

It may not be the biggest cherry blossom-centric event in the state, but it is still filled with plenty of pink fun for everyone! Guests are invited to enjoy a multicultural experience at the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival, which features art and craft booths, children's activities and food courts. This year's festival runs March 23-24, 2024, at the Georgia International Horse Park.

4. Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground

Sure, it's off the beaten path, but a visit to Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground north of Canton is worth the journey, especially during their spring events. In mid-March, their cherry blossoms are expected to be in full color. 

5. Georgia Governor's Mansion in Atlanta

In March 2012, Gov. and Mrs. Deal hosted an official cherry tree planting ceremony on the grounds of the Georgia Governor's Mansion in conjunction with the Consulate General of Japan. Typically, visitors are welcome at the mansion in Atlanta each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
