Chattahoochee Nature Center

Acres of land on the banks of the Chattahoochee River are a refuge for numerous birds, including eagles. The Chattahoochee Nature Center hosts festivals and events throughout the year, including the Flying Colors Butterfly Festival.

Historic Banning Mills

Experience a live bird of prey show at Historic Banning Mills located in the historic and beautiful Snake Creek Gorge. Witness several different native bird of prey flight demonstrations, and learn about endangered birds and how to help keep them safe. Liberty, a beautiful bald eagle, lives on site and is one of the feathered ambassadors. She will be very happy to greet you and your family at the next bird of prey show.

Center for Wildlife Education

At the Center for Wildlife Education on the campus of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, visitors are welcome to view live wild animals throughout its 17 acres. The destination is home to two bald eagles, Freedom and Glory, as well as a golden eagle named Phoenix.
